Support #CookForSyria this Christmas

This Christmas you’ll find top restaurants and cafes all around London supporting #CookForSyria ~ an award-winning charity campaign that I co-founded 2 years ago. It has received the support from inspirational chefs and home cooks including Jamie Oliver, Yotam Ottolenghi, Hemsley+Hemsley, Deliciously Ella and many others.

#CookForSyria is the supper club that has become a global movement. Our aim is to celebrate Syrian and Middle Eastern cuisine whilst raising valuable funds to support children impacted by the ongoing war.

With free recipes online to inspire you and two beautiful charity books that would make GREAT Christmas gifts, there are many ways to get involved.

These could include:

·hosting a charity bake sale

·hosting a supper club with friends

·purchasing a copy of our best-selling charity book #CookForSyria + our new baking inspired recipe book #BakeForSyria (curated by start baker Lily Vanilli with all profits donated to charity)

Some of you may even remember the pop-up cafe we opened last year in Covent Garden with @MrLondonand the @LONDONteam, with Imad’s Syrian Kitchen, our dear friend who fled the war in Damascus after losing his restaurants and businesses.

Together with Imad and many friendly volunteers, we cooked up the most delicious hummus bowls, baked hundreds of cakes and served thousands of coffees at our pop-up cafe - to raise money for those less fortunate.

To date, we’ve raised close to £1 million pounds which has gone towards children’s vaccinations, nutritious meals, safe drinking water, shelter and education.

This December, many top restaurants will be adding special #CookForSyria inspired dishes to their menu or donating £1 for every bill to UNICEF’s children of Syria fund.

You can find some great recipes and buy the books over at www.cookforsyria.com.

Please help us spread the word by sharing your pics on social media and by adding the hashtag #CookForSyria to your posts.

Thank you for your support!
